Viking Airport Equipment recently attended the Ground Handling International (GHI) annual conference at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre in the Netherlands between the 29th November to the 1st December 2022.

The conference is the global aviation community’s favourite forum. It offers industry professionals a unique opportunity to share their knowledge, learn about the latest developments in ground handling, and connect with others in the field.

The conference features presentations from top experts, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a chance to learn about the latest technologies and best practices. It is well-known for its high-quality program and is considered a must-attend event for those working in the ground handling industry.

The 23rd Annual conference saw a record number of attendees walk through the doors; over 800 people attended the proceedings across the three days.

Multiple sessions were hosted in the conference hall and Cargo Zone, providing an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended. The Cargo Zone provided attendees with a variety of informative sessions, including presentations from renowned cargo handling companies and start-ups, who demonstrated their unique products and services to a captivated audience.

The conference was a great opportunity for Viking Airport Equipment to network with peers in the industry and to learn more about the latest developments in the sector. Importantly, it was a great occasion to showcase Viking’s parts, accessories and services to prospective customers.

Nigel Daniel, Managing Director of Viking Airport Equipment, remarked that the conference was highly beneficial in terms of time and cost savings, as it enabled them to meet a multitude of prospective customers in a matter of two and a half days, eliminating the need for long-distance travel.The atmosphere was positively buzzing with many airlines, handling agents and cargo operators in attendance.

At the conference, Viking Airport Equipment encountered a great level of enthusiasm for its cargo dollies and the new Series 8 Container dollies. Networking at the event gave them the opportunity to meet with a potential client from a prominent cargo handling company who are beginning the bidding process for a substantial project in Southern Europe in 2023.

Viking Airport Equipment will be visiting the International GSE Expo in September 2023 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, United States. They will also be attended the next GHI conference which will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from the 28th to the 30th November 2023.
